Sorting data in Microsoft Excel is simple. There are several ways of sorting data so we’ve put together this short tutorial to help you.
To sort one column in ascending/descending order. Highlight the column you’d like to sort by and press the ascending
or descending
button from the data menu (see the picture below).
The other option is to sort data by several rows for example, date then customer’s first name. To sort your data in this way you should highlight the data you wish to sort and press the sort button
this then lets you choose your sorting preferences (see the picture below).
