Surviving amongst the others – the challenges of starting up a business

Written by Rudi Duffy on April 20th 2017

25 percent of start-up companies will fail in their first year and almost half, 44 percent, will fail within their third year of business. However, if businesses are still surviving after their first and third year, it’s something to be proud of. They’ve made it further than almost half of those companies who started at the same time.

The best way for businesses to become reputable is through excellent customer service and experience. Exceeding customers’ expectations is the best way to position yourself as a reputable business and gain more customers. People will think of your company as a business worth working with and that could be the difference between winning and losing your next client.

Once your client base is established you need to get to know and understand them inside and out. You need to be able to provide them with what they want, before they ask for it, but only when they’re ready. To get to this level of understanding you need to be using the right technology and tools.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems provide you with a high level of insight which without the software isn’t possible. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a CRM system that allows you to view your sales activities, customer information and give you a valuable overview into your company data, all from one platform. Dynamics 365 is easily built to your specific requirements.

Using Dynamics 365 allows you to easily identify the different stages of the buying cycle of your customers as well as giving you a clear over-view of what contact your sales team has had with them. By simplifying the process of closing deals, you’re not wasting valuable time on deals which could be put to bringing in new leads.
